911 - DON'T DIAL IT....LIVE IT!

My Guestbook

This is my 71 911T with some RS components installed by the previous owner. My original goal was to restore the car to it's stock look, but I really like the look of the car and have decided to continue the theme somewhat. I won't be flaring the rear fenders as I really like the narrow body look. I just completed a winter project dedicated to refinishing the Fuchs alloys. Here's a couple shots of before and after on the wheels. What a job that was!

I'll get around to a full writeup on the wheels project shortly, but as you can see, the new look is outstanding. Next comes the suspension work. I'm heading off to Hershey this April with my shopping list. I hope to meet my fellow Rennlisters there and talk cars with you all.

1ST CRUISE OF 2004 (March 28)

Ah yes...what a day that was! Below are a couple fresh pictures with the new wheels installed. Note the lug nuts were hastily put on and will be painted shortly. I had to move my car out of storage to prepare for a busy summer season up here, so ya does what ya has ta does...lol. The previous owner must have gotten caught up in the 'make my 911 look as new as possible' theme and put the newer rear bumper/reflector assembly on. My trip to Hershey will include finding a fiberglass one piece rear bumper that has the recessed licence plate area and no reflectors and certainly not those ugly, big honkin bumperettes. I have a shopping list that's arm's length now. I need new door handles as mine have the chrome peeling off and I really don't want to paint them black. I like the mix of chrome/polish and black a lot. I'm also looking at a pair of RS seats from Vintage Seats for that 'period' look and for trackday support. Am I having fun yet?....oh ya babeeeeee.
