| Folks, what can I say. My hats off to
John Dunkle and his esteemed associates for a fantastic presentation of
Hershey 2004. The day started off driving into a fogbank at Hershey but that
quickly burned off and gave way to brilliant sunshine and mild temperatures.
The entire affair was expertly managed and organized. The turnout was huge.
At least 700 Porsches showed up and some estimate 1100. All I can say is I
experienced a case of Porsche overload. Lots of vendors showed up with tons
of great stuff. Myself, I would have appreciated seeing Tweeks, Pelican
Parts and the other major vendors of new parts and accessories show up with
their goodies as well. It sure would have been convenient to pickup the
accessories and parts that the swap vendors didn't have. Perhaps we can
persuade them to do so for 2005. A wonderful banquet ended a fantastic day
back at the Wyndham hotel in Harrisburg. John kept saying emphatically that
Rennlist isn't about him, it's us; but without John at the helm where would
we be folks? Oh ya John, if you read this, please create a nice Rennlist
sign for your booth next year or use the one you were presented with at the
banquet so we can find you easier! |
