The Owner:

Adrian Palmer currently handles the Porsche 964 RS Register on behalf of the Porsche Club of Great Britain. Adrian is himself an accomplished engine developer, having worked as an engine developer and builder during the mid 1980s in Formula 1 and Formula 3000. Adrian also holds a degree in Automotive Engineering and Design from Loughborough University- and hence we can assume that anything he does to his car is a relatively safe bet!

He also writes for numerous websites, providing incredible in depth knowledge about his pet topic- the 964 RS!

Adrian can be contacted at 964rs@sixmail.com (and do tell him you first read about his car at Complete 964!).

If we pester him enough, maybe he'll write a feature article for us!

The Car:

Adrian purchased the prisitine left hand drive RS that you see on this page from Roock Racing (complete with upgraded throttle body, modified air box, chip and cup pipe) in 1997.

After driving the car around for some time, Adrian must have decided that the modified output of the blue printed RS engine (285bhp!!!) was insufficient, as he embarked on an upgrade that can only be described as incredible.

Rather than go into details (and given my extremely limited technical knowledge), I will present you with with the information provided by Adrian himself.

The Performance:

The car currently-

  • Maximum Power: 360bhp @7,400rpm;
  • Rev Limited (if that's what you can call it) to 8,000rpm;
  • 100mph in 9.5 seconds;
  • 140mph in 18.9 seconds.

Targeted figures-

  • 400bhp
  • 450Nm
