Hood Spring Tool

I took an old jack handle and inserted a big steel strap. I machined one end to fit TIGHTLY in the ID of the handle. The other end has a slot that fits over the rear deck springs of a 914. If you have never removed and replaced them, you obviously have all your fingers! It's a difficult and dangerous job. I machined slight grooves in the slot to help hold the spring in place (to keep it from jumping out of the tool).
