This one is so simple, that I'm almost embarrassed to show it! If you ever need to run
the fuel pump without the engine running (adjust fuel pressure, check for
leaks, drain tank, etc) or if your fuel pump control circuit stops working
for some reason (and there are many), just pull the relay and insert a
jumper between contacts 30 and 87 (which are connected to the NO contacts
on the relay). I used a big piece of Copper wire...about 14 ga. I carry
it with me in my tool box in case I need it. Be careful not to connect it incorrectly...doing so can fry the drive transistor in the ECU! |
