Prior to the 2001 MUSR, I broke the left drop link on my front anti-sway
bar. I didn't diagnose it until the MUSR AX and then it was too late to
fix it. So I drove an ill handling car. After the MUSR, I pulled it off
and found that the down tube had broken below the top weld. I decided not
to buy another stock link, but to make a couple of them that were adjustable. The stock drop links are a bit long for a lowered car.
I used the aftermarket bushings from the original links and machined a
pair of Aluminum links. They are bigger but shorter than the stock links,
but weigh the same. If I could find (or was willing to make) a pair of
Aluminum nuts, they would be lighter. Here is a picture of an original (on the bottom)
and one of the new links. |
