Information for Registered Club Racers

Note Schedule, number of race groups and race group assignments may/will change. These are the responsibility of the Chief Steward for the Race, Monte Smith. These listings assume any licensing issues have been taken care of, etc.

Directions

I'm assuming you can get to Montreal. From Montreal you want to get onto "15 Nord." This divided highway is built for radar traps. You have been warned. 15 Nord eventually winds its way to St-Jovite. You know you're close when you the go-kart track at the top of a hill. The highway curves around the town. Towards the end of the St-Jovite there will be signs for the exit to Mont-Tremblant on your right. Take the exit.

You know you're on the right road as you will soon see a decrepit building on the right with the sign "Le faucon bleu" on it. Keep going until a traffic light appears magically out of nowhere. Turn Left.

In a couple of minutes, you will be entering the village of Mont-Tremblant. Just before the village you will see an entrance to "Le circuit Mont-Tremblant" on your right. Ignore it.

The road becomes the main street. It makes a hard right at the centre of the village (Hotel Mont-Tremblant, where I'll be.) Once the buildings start to thin out, there will be a stop sign at "Boul. Séguin" Turn right.

You will pass a few houses, and then the road will become a bumpy dirt road. Drive slowly. The entrance to the track is at the end of Séguin. Someone (probably me) will greet you at the gate.

At the track

Space is at a premium. The track was built when many sports car racers drove their race cars to the track. Thus paddock space is limited.

Paddock space is also limited as we must accommodate 120 or so extra driver's education participants on Friday. Once this space has been freed up, everyone will breath easier, but Friday will be tight. So tight I'm going to be very anal about parking. Sorry, but here are the rules:

  1. Anyone who sets up before being registered may have to move before registration is issued. Sorry.
  2. Not only is space tight, but so is pavement. For safety reasons, I want race cars off the grass. The last thing we need is a hot exhaust to encounter some dry grass.
  3. Thus, race cars get priority for pavement. Trailers must NOT occupy pavement. Drop the trailer back on the grass somewhere. I can tell you right now we will have to box in trailers. Tow vehicles should also be off the pavement.
  4. There is only one part of the parking lot big enough to allow tractor-trailers to turn around. This area has to be cleared if a truck arrives. Unfortunately this is right near the entrance, and also primo space.
  5. Please try to not park parallel to the pavement edge in the large lot.
  6. It may be necessary to park DE cars in front of you in the large lot on Friday.
  7. RV's must be on the grass. There are few outlets and some taps available. Please share. Some outlets and taps will be reserved.
  8. Please understand I'm not trying to be a scrooge about this. I'm not going to play "parking cop" unless I have to.
To give you an idea of how tight parking is, the registration cap for this club race is determined solely by paddock space.
