Pricing Guide
If we could
go to a store today that offered consistent, published pricing and purchase the
hardest to find, brand new 914 parts that are no longer produced today, what
prices should we expect? If the OEM part
is still available for purchase in new condition from retail vendors, it is not
included in this list. The purpose of
this list is to document recent actual price points, or to provide estimated
(est.) values as a reference where actual transactions are not available. Condition of these parts is the main
criteria. If you have documentation of
different value transactions, contact me and I will update this guide.
Condition Description
NOS All listed values below are NOS
values unless otherwise noted. The price
guide below indicates recent eBay or other verifiable pricing for new OEM
original parts and selected aftermarket parts, in flawless, never installed,
perfect condition. These values indicate
what winning bidders have recently paid for each item unless a different
quantity is indicated, not including shipping costs or taxes where applicable.
Restored Estimate an approximate value of 90%
(range 80-100%) of the NOS value. Not an
original finish part, but restored to the highest quality. Category includes reproduction parts of
similar quality to the OEM part.
Driver Estimate an approximate value of
60% (range 40-80%) of the NOS value.
Good serviceable condition, fully functional with minor wear or
blemishes that do not greatly affect the parts function or visual
characteristics. No repairs or
restoration necessary.
Repairable Estimate an approximate value of 20%
(range 0-40%) of the NOS value. With
repairs this part could be a better quality part, but repairs or restoration
are needed. The part is not serviceable
in its current condition, but it has some value so it should not be thrown
away.
