With towels laid out and very careful maneuvering I was able to get it on the shaft and bolted down . Assembly of the rest of the components was easy and went very quickly.
Remember to install the strap BEFORE getting the shroud in place and the alternator bolted up ! I thought I was going to have to take everything apart to get the strap on, but it did go on with a little patience.
I located the bolt for the strap over to the far right side so that it would be smooth across the top. I panicked at this point because I had not installed the fan so that I wouldn't damage it and it didn't look as though it would clear the motor mount.
Re-assembling the components was not difficult it was just tough trying not to scratch the shroud .
I installed new ducting to the headers (thanks Roy !) and put wire looms on all of the wires .
The finished project ! Well worth the time and effort.
Details are everything ! I had these PORSCHE stickers made at the local sign shop and they accent the engine perfectly.
Installation of the new Magnecore wires was a breeze and everything fit perfect.
This project is a true do it yourself labor of love because the total cost for this complete job (except for the Magnebraid wires I got for Xmas) was the cost of six cans of hi-temp paint and a few brushes - maybe $30 !!
